Tom Cruise Spotted For First Time Since Baseball Game Photos Went Viral

Tom Cruise was spotted for the first time since photos of him at a baseball game went viral and sparked rumors he had undergone cosmetic surgery. The "Mission: Impossible" star, 59, looked noticeably less puffy in new photos of him obtained by the New York Post's Page Six when he touched down in Los Angeles Wednesday. Cruise sported a black sweater and baseball cap as he took a moment to hydrate after landing.

Top Offseason Issues for Giants, White Sox, Rays, Brewers After MLB Playoff Exit

Two teams that won 100-plus games failed to advance to their respective league championship series, while a pair of wild cards and an 88-game division winner still have World Series chances. It seems less than ideal, but it was always understood either the San Francisco Giants or Los Angeles Dodgers...

Los Angeles Dodgers: Mookie Betts stat justifies his salary

Look, I’ll be the first to say I think Major League Baseball salaries can be bloated. WIth the regularity of which $300M contracts are being handed out these days, it’s absurd. We can sit here and debate whether those players earn that money, using statistics, data, revenue generated for the team, etc., etc., etc. In the case of Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts, there is one stat floating around which goes a long way in support of his $365M deal.

MLB odds: Dodgers vs. Braves NLCS Game 1 prediction, odds, pick, and more

It took the Los Angeles Dodgers five games in the National League Division Series round to survive their bitter rivals San Francisco Giants. They were down 2-1 after the first two games of that series but won the last two to score a date with the Atlanta Braves, who made quicker work in their own NLDS against the Milwaukee Brewers. Okay, moving on to the other team in this Dodgers-Braves prediction…

Bill Shaikin: Vin Scully can’t believe how Dodgers and Giants were unrivaled this season

ATLANTA — It was a very pleasant good afternoon Friday when Vin Scully picked up the phone. The best broadcaster in baseball history turns 94 next month. He shed his professional neutrality when he retired five years ago. He happily roots for the Los Angeles Dodgers now, marveling that a team with 110 victories this season still has no idea whether it will qualify for the World Series.

Saturday BP: Reyes Moronta elects free agency

If I had told you before the season that San Francisco Giants right-handed pitcher Reyes Moronta would be a free agent in October, you probably would not have believed me. But that’s where we are. On Thursday, Moronta — as well as outfielder Mike Tauchman — elected for free agency, which became an option when the Giants designated them for assignment and reassigned them to AAA Sacramento.

How to watch NLCS Game 1 between the Braves and the Dodgers

The Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers will meet in Game 1 of the NLCS Saturday night at Truist Park. Unlike the Division Series, the NLCS is a best-of-seven. The Braves will have home field advantage in the series even though the Dodgers finished with a better regular season record. Atlanta won the NL East for the fourth straight time while Los Angeles had their streak of division championships snapped by the San Francisco Giants and had to settle for the wildcard. Games 1 and 2 will be at Truist Park. Games 3, 4 and 5 if necessary, will be in Los Angeles. The series would shift back to Atlanta if needed for Games 6 and 7.
