Watch Bleachers Perform ‘How Dare You Want More’ and ‘Chinatown’ on ‘SNL’

Jack Antonoff’s band Bleachers were the musical guests on last night’s episode of Saturday Night Live, performing two tracks off his latest album Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night. Antonoff was joined by singer-songwriter Blu DeTiger on bass, Claud on keys, and his dad Rick on guitar for a performance of ‘How Dare You Want More’, before returning to the stage to play the Bruce Springsteen collaboration ‘Chinatown’. Founded a few years ago, the voices of Berthold Schindler and Hana Katsinis and conductor Clayton Bowman form the core of the band, to which other musicians and artists have been added depending on the project.

East Jessamine students hold mattress fundraiser to benefit band programs

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky (WTVQ) – East Jessamine high school and middle school band members spent their Saturday raising money for their programs. The school’s band programs partnered with Nicholasville business Wildcat Mattress for a mattress sale with special discounts. Mattresses, pillow, candles, and blankets were all on sale for the event.

Glenwood band is a uniquely cohesive unit

(WICS/WRSP) — Glenwood High School’s band program is a uniquely cohesive program. “A community, that's what it is,” said senior clarinetist Emilee Bergmann. “We really try to bond with one another all of us are friends. We joke around, we have fun, but we try to put in that same amount of work.”

Brockhampton, the band founded by Corpus Christi native Kevin Abstract, announced it will take an "indefinite hiatus" after its next four performances. In an Instagram post, the group announced its upcoming shows at the O2 Academy Brixton in London and at Coachella would be its last and all other tour dates are canceled immediately. Refunds for all tickets and VIP packages will be available at the point of purchase, the post said.

Band Carnival returns with new features this year

Central’s Choir and Band Put on a Festive Winter Concert to End Fall Semester

The Central Voices, the Central Sound Concert Band, and the Central Piano Class held their winter concert on December 13, 2021 at Bayside Baptist Church. “It was really great to be able to have our concert at the church because students could hear each other so much better than when we perform in the school gym. It was also exciting not to be limited to thirty minute performing segments,” stated Katheron Latham, choir director and piano teacher.
