THE GRAND REOPENING CONTINUES, inside, outside, sometimes in a park. After almost a year and a half of coronavirus shutdowns and occasional virtual productions, Oregon’s performing arts world is climbing back on the boards and putting on a show. Several shows, in fact. Here are just a few that might nudge you out of your home bunker and back into the semi-bustling crowd:

IN A STATE THAT’S WORLD-RENOWNED for its bourbon, it would be easy for wine to simply throw in the towel, or in this case, the fermentation tank. But there is strength in grapes, and Kentucky’s 60-plus wineries are as varied as the vintners behind the labels—many of whom are crafting award-winning wines. This month we visit a handful of Kentucky’s wineries.

Bits & Pieces: Portland Opera, others start 'Old Moody Stages'

Other items include Reser Center, Broadway Rose, Hollywood Theatre, 'Ring of Fire' performances and Oregon Zoo.'Old Moody Stages' Portland artists are collaborating on a new summer outdoor art series, "Old Moody Stages," using two new stages in the historic Barge Building at South Waterfront. Portland Opera has donated the stages and Portland State University School of Music and Theater the lighting. Profile Theatre, Dance Wire and philanthropist Charlene Zidell have joined the project, and Fuller Events has helped with event infrastructure. There'll be dance, theater and music designed for everyone, and it begins Thursday, July 21, and goes through Aug....
