GTA Online Leaker Teases Big DLC Coming Very Soon

A substantial GTA Online update is coming very soon, according to a prominent Rockstar Games insider and leaker. It's December 2, yet there's been no word of GTA Online's usual big December update. That said, this should change in the coming days if a new report from Tez2 is accurate. Taking to Twitter, and quote-tweeting a tweet about a new GTA Online event ending on Tuesday, December 14, Tez2 teased Grand Theft Auto fans that they "better allocate some time off for the DLC release on December 14." Unfortunately, this is the extent of the tease.

GTA Trilogy Fixes Certain Character Models in Update

It's a positive thing, sure, but we'll miss the memes. Rockstar Games is making an effort to listen to more player feedback with the most recent 1.03 update to the GTA Trilogy. While we’re incredibly glad that the god-awful rain is gone and the many typos on storefronts have been fixed, the community is most happy to see certain characters getting much-needed makeovers. Upon release, plenty of comparisons were made on social media between the not-so-familiar faces in the GTA Trilogy and their original game counterparts. For context:

Take-Two appears to be IP trolling

Take-Two is heading towards becoming the new Atari and look towards IP trolling rather than making successful products, according to Tech Dirt. While Take-Two is nowhere near becoming the tech troll Atari became, it has recently been engaging in this restrictive and trollish behaviour. This includes fighting its own modding community to releasing poor versions of its own older games or filing trademark oppositions for axe-throwing companies, Tech Dirt pointed out.

GTA Remastered Trilogy Gets Major Update, Retail Version Delayed

GTA Remastered Trilogy has received its second major update. However, the physical version has been delayed at retail. Earlier in November, after a troubled launch, Rockstar Games made the first step in improving the remasters with its first update. The first update was more about improving stability in preparation for future updates. However, update 1.03 has arrived and made over 100 fixes and improvements.

Rockstar Delays GTA Trilogy Physical Edition Release Dates

Rockstar has delayed the physical release for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. As shared by the studio on Twitter (below), Rockstar has announced that is delaying the physical release for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy to multiple different dates. While that change now means that the game will release on Xbox consoles and PS4 on December 17 (a ten-day delay), it's worse news for Switch fans, where the game now won't be available physically until early 2022.

Stunning 'GTA 4' Remaster Completely Overhauls The Game

Grand Theft Auto IV: Liberty Visual is a mod that gives the original game gorgeous photorealistic graphics with incredible natural lighting effects and shadows. Of course, this mod purely focuses on the visual side of Grand Theft Auto IV, which creates a curious effect when paired with the animations in the original game. It’s a little like it’s stepped out of time but I suppose this is preferable to the shambolic state of the official remasters of Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City, and San Andreas. Noodley NPCs, supersized cars, rain that reminded us of liquid concrete streaking across the screen, the list of issues with the remasters went on and on. Obviously, this wasn’t a brilliant look when we remember that Take-Two Interactive shut down a number of unofficial mods for these games ahead of the release of the Definitive Trilogy.

They accuse a Netflix series of plagiarizing a GTA V art: the resemblance is evident

A design suspiciously similar to GTA V promo images has been discovered in a Colombian series called The Cartel of the Toads: The Origin. This series would be based on the novel by Andrés López López, and landed on Netflix a few months ago. Of course, the title makes the premise of the series pretty clear. Like GTA V, The Cartel of the Toads: The Origin tells a story full of drugs, money and all kinds of illegalities, but it’s not the only thing that resembles the Rockstar game.

GTA 4, more realistic than ever with this mod: it looks like a remaster

The world of modding surprises us once again. If already in GTA V we have seen mods capable of turning the fifth episode of the Rockstar Games saga into a title next genNow we see that with Grand Theft Auto IV there are also reasons for astonishment. The mud ‘orangebrains’ has published a new version of the baptized Grand Theft Auto IV: Liberty Visual, which offers us the Most realistic Liberty City to date.

How Have the GTA Games Always Stayed Relevant and Achieved Acclaim from Fans and Critics?

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition was released in November this year, but the release wasn’t as well-received as Rockstar Games had hoped it would be. The games that the studio decided to remaster – GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas – are all masterpieces, and the consensus was that the new release hadn’t done these classics justice. Rockstar Games has barely put a foot wrong with GTA over the years, but it may have been wiser to leave these games alone or put more effort into restoring them. Still, a slightly underwhelming release like this is not going to overshadow the amazing popularity of the series throughout its history.

GTA Trilogy Remastered update fixes rain effects, spelling errors

The GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition has been a hot mess. Thankfully, Rockstar Games has finally acknowledged what kind of mess their supposed GTA Trilogy remastered has been, with promises of fixes coming along the way. In fact, as a sign of goodwill, they also re-released the original versions of the games on the Rockstar client (but not on other platforms, like Steam, so this act of goodwill feels a bit half-hearted.)

GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition Physical Release Delayed by Rockstar Games

Rockstar Games has announced at the last minute that the physical version of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition has been delayed for all platforms. Originally slated to launch in the early portion of this month, Rockstar has now pushed back this launch by just a couple of weeks to mid-December instead. However, those looking to pick up the Nintendo Switch iteration of the remastered bundle will instead have to wait even a bit longer.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition physical versions delayed

Rockstar Games has announced a delay for the physical releases of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. The technologically-troubled triple pack was supposed to head to shop shelves in physical form on December 6. However, according to a tweet from the publisher, the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PS4 versions will now land on December 17. It’s worse news for those on the Nintendo Switch, with their version pushed to the vague ‘Early 2022’.
