County tries to extend run

Rivet, South Knox are favorites at North Knox's golf sectional. When it comes to the girls golf sectional, Knox County has dominated. North Knox started the run with its first title in 2010. Then Rivet formed a team and has captured eight of the 10 sectionals it has entered. Lincoln and South Knox slowed down the Patriots in 2018 and 2020, winning their first sectionals on a fifth-player tiebreaker and by one shot over Rivet.

Some are still in high school. None were alive when the United States hosted the World Cup in 1994, and most weren't during the Atlanta Summer Olympics two years later. BostInno’s 25 Under 25 class for 2021 includes a few in the environmentally friendly realm (Earth-friendly menstrual products, cleaning materials that aren’t harmful and antimicrobial solutions), others hoping to make the world a better place (from T-shirts that benefit local nonprofits to an education app for refugee children) and others who are simply incredibly creative (like coming up with a chapstick-like applicator for hand sanitizer while in fifth grade).

Rivet Volleyball is on a seven game win streak

Rivet Volleyball won its 7th game in a row yesterday against Lawrenceville. Due to Illinois volleyball rules, the lady patriots played a best of three-game, rather than the normal best of five we play here in Indiana. Rivet won the first set 25-13. The second set was close, but the...
