1 person died after a motorcycle collided with another motorcycle near Red Rock Canyon Road (Las Vegas, NV)

On Saturday, one person was killed while another is in critical condition following a two-vehicle collision near Red Rock Canyon Road. As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash took place on Blue Diamond Road at Red Rock Canyon Road. The preliminary investigation showed that a motorcycle pulled over at a red light near a gas station in the northbound lane and drove into the intersection for reasons that are yet to be known. Another motorcycle traveling eastbound entered the intersection and the crash happened.

A motorcyclist was killed and another was critically injured in a crash near Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area Saturday afternoon. Nevada Highway Patrol spokesman Travis Smaka said the male driver of a black motorcycle was headed north on state Route 159 when he stopped at a red light at state Route 160, also known as Blue Diamond Road. Smaka said it appears the motorcyclist then proceeded into the intersection even though the light was still red and drove into the path of a silver motorcycle that was traveling east on Route 160.

It was reported a white Dodge pickup was traveling eastbound on Bellaire Blvd. Per witnesses the Dodge pickup had a green light. At the same time a Honda Accord was traveling southbound on Fondren Rd. The Honda went through the red light causing the Dodge pickup to T-bone it.
