Cherokee County to hold public hearing on $340 million budget

Cherokee County residents will get their first glance at the county’s proposed 2022 budget Tuesday and have an opportunity to give their feedback on the spending plan at the county’s board of commissioners meeting at 6 p.m. at Cherokee Hall in Canton. The board will also review the proposal at a 3 p.m. work session Tuesday.

252 apartments pitched for Nature's Nook property in Franklin

Southern Milwaukee County continues to draw more apartment proposals with 252 more planned south of Ryan Road in Franklin by Fiduciary Real Estate Development Inc. Those plans were submitted last week to the city of Franklin for 24 acres west of 27th Street at South Branch Boulevard. Anticipating demand from new industrial development along Interstate 94 and other factors, projects in various stages would bring well over 1,000 new apartments to Oak Creek and Franklin.

New York firm takes over management of Cork Factory Lofts on behalf of unnamed investor group

Transaction records show a new unnamed owner and New York-based Midwood Investment & Development have taken over management of the Cork Factory Lofts in the Strip District. Midwood notified residents and various vendors of its new leadership for the Cork Factory, a three-building complex that suburban Philadelphia-based owner GMH Capital Partners opted to put on the market for sale last year.
