Three Critically Acclaimed AAA Games That Deserves a Sequel

Developing a video game takes time, a lot of time, and making a critically acclaimed title takes even more. For example, Red Dead Redemption 2 took more than eight years to develop. It’s also a well-known fact that each sequel takes more effort and more money to make. The developer also has to ensure that sequels surpass their predecessor and meet fans' expectations. In short, it's a tall order.

Ratchet & Clank Still Runs Fine On The Worst PS5-Compatible SSD – Kotaku

That’s not to say Digital Foundry’s findings bring these arguments into question. Rather, it’s a great indication that, as one might expect from a game released early in the PlayStation 5’s lifespan, even Sony developers like Insomniac have only scratched the surface of the hardware’s potential. I mean, the low-end SSD being used in the video (Western Digital’s SN750 SE) fails to meet the console’s recommended specs, yet Ratchet & Clank still runs almost perfectly.

Will it be Take-Two Interactive, whose catalog includes the 2K sports games and such...

Cyberpunk Exclusive to CD Projekt? The studio replied that a freelance writer had “violated copyright.”

In 2017, CD Projekt registered the trademark “Cyberpunk” in the United States and the European Union. When the case arose, negative comments about the indicated action automatically appeared, since the term is not only related to Cyberpunk 2077, but refers to the popular science fiction subgenre. We regularly hear about many products based on the potential of the present, which is an integral part of cyberpunk realities, but there is a possibility that other creators in the future will encounter problems.

Videogame makers get no home-field advantage

Staying home to play videogames is a fantasy for many. Making those games at home has turned out to be more of a nightmare. Electronic Arts said late Wednesday that it has delayed the release of its highly anticipated “Battlefield 2042″ game by a month, to Nov. 19. The news actually came as a relief to investors who had been hearing rumors about an even bigger delay. EA shares were up 1% in morning trading Thursday following a drop of nearly 6% on Wednesday.

Battlefield 2042 Delayed; Loses FPS Race to COD

CD Projekt Red Issues Trademark Strike For Board Game With A Cyberpunk Theme On

Way back in 2017, years before CD Projekt Red released Cyberpunk 2077 in a poor enough state so as to kickoff lawsuits from investors and a shitstorm of criticism by the public, we discussed how CDPR had acquired the US trademark for "Cyberpunk" in its licensing arrangements and then applied for a mark on the same term in the EU. The problem, of course, is that "cyberpunk" isn't just the name of a series of tabletop and video games, but also the name of a broad genre of fiction. These are trademarks that should never have been granted, as they are akin to getting a trademark on something like "True Crime". Plenty of folks in American and the EU cried foul over this, leading to CDPR putting out a statement that, among other things, noted that the company is not a trademark bully and would not be aggressive in enforcing the mark for unrelated projects in the cyberpunk genre. Pay special attention to the tweet from CDPR below in the section headed "What does it mean that CD Projekt owns the trademark for "Cyberpunk"?

Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.31 makes the game more wet

There have been a lot of questions about Cyberpunk 2077 since it launched in December, but none more strange that the one asked by the Polygon video team: Is Cyberpunk 2077 wet enough? We can now safely say that no, in fact, the game clearly launched without the requisite amount of moisture. The latest patch, numbered 1.31, should fix that.

Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.31 is available now for all platforms

The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 on PS5 and XSX | S in 2021? A difficult task that will not satisfy everyone

The beginning of September was an interesting month for video game fans as well as investors who had placed their hopes in the Polish company. CD Projekt published financial results for the first half of 2021 less than two weeks ago, in which they clearly confirmed that the main revenue is coming from the sale of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The first production started on the market relatively recently, ten months ago, so the cash injection it provides should not surprise anyone – compared to the third adventure of Geralt of Rivia, who is still looking for new buyers. This is further evidence that the third Witcher is a phenomenon on a global scale, and it is gratifying that the Polish developers were responsible for its preparation.
