In the upcoming weeks I will be taking the time to highlight the Fairbury track champions and review the hobby-modified class. Competing at tracks in Indiana and Illinois, Adam Williams of Wheatfield, Ind., made Fairbury his home track for the 2021 season. The 2008-2009 Bomber champion at Shady Hill Speedway and 2010 I-mod champion at Kankakee, Williams made history by becoming the first Hoosier state driver to claim a title at Fairbury. Although Williams wasn’t able to pick up a feature race win, consistency paid off. The designer of the Venom Race Car, Williams had four top five finishes and eight top tens.

Third-Gen's A Charm With This Trans Am

Enjoy the third-gen boom in this Pontiac Trans Am. Under some of the best car covers in the country, you're likely to find a third generation f-body. Over the last few years, popularity of the third generation run of the f-body has seen a surprising spike, but more times than not, it’s the third-gen Camaro that’s getting the spotlight, not the humble Pontiac variant. However, if you look the market on a shorter timeline, you’ll see strong interest in the same year run Pontiac Firebirds, Formulas, and Trans Ams, and for good reason. This 1986 Pontiac Trans Am is a beautiful example of the generation, as well as the modern classic American market that’s largely underestimated.
