Police say Moreno-Sanchez was walking home from work when a car jumped the curb near 15th and South Streets and ran her over twice before fleeing the scene. Moreno-Sanchez worked at Steak 48 in Center City. 10 Additional Defendants Federally Indicted for Roles in Heroin and Fentanyl Distribution Scheme

WILMINGTON, Del. –David C. Weiss, U.S. Attorney for the District of Delaware, announced today that a Superseding Indictment was recently unsealed charging 14 individuals with conspiring to distribute heroin and fentanyl and other related offenses. Four of those individuals, Jamar Jackson, Denise Brown, Harley Douglas, and Nicole Jackson, had been previously charged. The Superseding Indictment also charges Jamar Jackson with conspiring to launder money internationally.

Despite Not Firing the Gun, Woman Charged in Murder of Man Shot and Killed by Her Boyfriend Outside Cheesesteak Joint in Philadelphia

The girlfriend of a Pennsylvania man accused of murdering a New Jersey man in a popular Philadelphia cheesesteak shop has also been charged in the slaying as of Tuesday. Jamie Frick, 36, stands accused of murder and tampering with evidence over the July 22 shooting death of 23-year-old David Padro, Jr. (others have reported his age as 22), who hails from the city and county of Camden, N.J.

The identity of this person has not been determined yet and the investigation continues. The City of Philadelphia has agreed to pay $1.2 million to settle a wrongful-death lawsuit brought by the widow of a man who was fatally shot by a police officer in December 2017, a city spokesperson said Wednesday.

The suit, filed by Tania Bond, whose husband, Dennis Plowden Jr., was shot in the head and hand by then-officer Eric Ruch Jr. following a car chase and crash in East Germantown, alleged that the Police Department ignored the officer’s “history of unconstitutional conduct,” and failed to discipline or fire him, setting the stage for the killing..

2 Men Injured, 1 In Critical Condition, After Allegheny West Shooting: Police

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Philadelphia Police say a shooting in the city’s Allegheny West neighborhood leaves two men injured, with one of them in critical condition. Authorities say the shooting happened at 2800 North Taylor Street around 4:41 p.m. A 36-year-old man was shot in the torso; officers say he’s in critical condition after taking a private vehicle to the hospital. The second victim, a 32-year-old man, was hit in the left thigh. He was also taken to the hospital in a private car. Authorities say he is in stable condition.
