AP Top 25 poll: Where is Ohio State football on Nathan Baird’s ballot?

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football keeps forcing me to compare what I think against what I can prove. I think the Buckeyes might be on a collision course with Georgia in the national championship game. I think the team that lost to Oregon bears little resemblance to the one laying waste to the bottom of the Big Ten right now. I think OSU is also trending up, and has not yet played its best football.

Ohio State football’s Dawand Jones left Indiana a basketball-loving project, returns as an NFL prospect

COLUMBUS, Ohio — He slept with a basketball, this no-so-little boy who dreamed of one day gliding up and down the court in the NBA. That child still lives inside Dawand Jones. The most noticeable trait about Ohio State football’s starting right tackle remains his immense size. Anyone who gets to know the 6-8, 360-pound Jones better than that quickly learns how intensely his passion for basketball burns.

🏈 This is Game Week: Ohio State at Indiana

“There was this sense of urgency. We understood we were not playing to the standard and we had to hold ourselves accountable for our responsibilities on the field. We all came together and understood we were not playing up to Ohio State’s standards. We made a promise to each other that we need to play our best game.”

Tom Brady set to face first former Ohio State starting QB in his career, Justin Fields

The length of Tom Brady's career is old enough to drink. And yet, in that entire span of time, the Michigan product has never faced off with a rival from Ohio State. That fact changes permanently Sunday when the Buccaneers host former Buckeyes star Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears. Brady was asked about this interesting lack of a meeting with an opposing signal-caller from his collegiate archrival and deftly navigated potentially treacherous waters.
