Sabres Look to Win First Outdoor Game in 2022 Heritage Classic

The NHL announced last week that the Buffalo Sabres and Toronto Maple Leafs will play in the 2022 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic in Hamilton, Ontario. The game will be played outdoors at Tim Hortons Field, home of the Canadian Football League’s Hamilton Tiger Cats, on Mar. 13, 2022. The last NHL Heritage Classic was played in 2019, when the Winnipeg Jets defeated the Calgary Flames in overtime at Mosaic Stadium in Regina, Saskatchewan, in front of 33,518 people in attendance.

Familiar faces in new places: Rachael Ade joins the Rivs

A lot of NWHL/PHF players were on the move this off-season, which is something I can identify with. Being as how we’re in the same boat I thought it’d be fun series to put together, to see what they’re going through as they prepare for Season 7. Duluth Marshall Girls Hockey Coach Amanda Boulier Signs with Boston Pride

BOSTON, Mass. – Duluth Marshall girls hockey coach Amanda Boulier has signed a new deal with the Boston Pride of the Premier Hockey Federation, formerly known as the NWHL. Boulier spent the past three seasons with the Minnesota Whitecaps and is the league’s all-time leading scorer among defenseman. Last season, Boulier skated for the Whitecaps, who lost to the Pride in the Isobel Cup championship game.

TULSA, OK – The Tulsa Oilers, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks and the AHL’s San Diego Gulls, will enter the 2021-22 season under new ownership. After eight years under the leadership of Steven Brothers Sports Management, Tulsa Oilers Hockey has been purchased by California-based NL Sports, LLC, owned by Andy Scurto. NL Sports’ current holdings include The Premier Hockey Federation (formerly the NWHL), Buffalo Beauts and Minnesota Whitecaps. The announcement was made at a press conference earlier today inside the BOK Center, the Oilers home since 2008. The sale was finalized earlier this week and terms of the deal were not disclosed.

A trophy every hockey player dreams about, to have his name engraved forever on the iconic trophy. On February 4, 1889, Lord Stanley, Governor of Canada, saw his first hockey game with his family at the Winter Carnival in Canada and became enamored with hockey. It wasn't long before even his children took to the sport, and they convinced their father that a trophy should be awarded to the champions. Stanley then purchased a decorative punch bowl made in Sheffield, England, for 10 guineas, equal to $50 US dollars. The silver bowl measured 7.28" high and 11.42"wide.
