Massive Data Center Development Targeting Western Massachusetts Could Be Nation's Biggest

Western Massachusetts may become the home to the Northeast’s largest-ever data center development. Officials in Westfield have approved a developer’s plans that would place up to 2.7M SF of data center floor space in the small Massachusetts city. According to planning documents filed with the city last week, the $2.7B campus would entail 10 multistory data centers built out over a 13-to-18-year period.
