Why the attempt to belittle Indians fans unhappy with the name change?

Friday’s unveiling of the Indians new name left me with a real feeling of loss. I think it only natural to feel this way. I shared the Indians with my grandfather, parents, and children, and hoped to share it some day with grandchildren. I shared it with friends, colleagues and numerous other Northeast Ohioans I barely knew. While the memories are still there, Paul Dolan should understand that we cannot conveniently separate them on demand from time and place. Fandom after all is an emotional thing.
