One for all – and all in one! Nikon’s versatile Z DX 18-140mm has you covered

Nikon has launched the Z DX 18-140mm f/3.5-6.3 VR. This is good news, because although Nikon’s Z DX format mirrorless cameras – the Z 50 and Z fc – have been well received, the amount of dedicated lenses for the company’s crop-sensor bodies has been pretty limited. As an all-in-one type zoom, the new lens has plenty of potential, too.

Video: How To Relight a Photo in Capture One using Layers

I was recently walking through a local park and this little Robin was jumping around on the tree near a viewing spot. It almost seemed to be posing at one point, and didn’t seem to mind us standing there, although I didn’t want to get too close. The light was coming and going that day so it was hard to get just the right spot. I liked this one shot, but the light was wrong. (If the bird had just moved over a bit!!!) Luckily this was a relatively easy fix in Capture One.

Some last moment leaked Nikon Z9 specifications

I just received another set of Nikon Z9 camera specifications from Asia – nothing really new or breaking, everything is pretty much as I already reported it a few months ago:. The Nikon Z9 shutter will close when the camera is off to protect the sensor. 45 MP stacked sensor.

And the two new Nikkor Z lenses to be announced with the Z9 next week are….

I already mentioned on several occasions that we can expect at least one, possibly even two new Nikkor Z-mount lenses with the Nikon Z9 announcement next week (October 28). The reason for the confusion is that we will get one real announcement and one development announcement – at least those are the latest rumors. Here is what to expect:

Richard Windsor’s snap decision develops into lifelong love of cameras

Back in the 1980s, while teaching horticulture at Weston Creek, Richard Windsor thought himself pretty lucky to have use of the cream of the crop Nikon cameras. He would use the school’s photographic gear to help teach his classes, shooting close-ups of plants and vegetables to explain their workings as perfect teaching aids for the subject.

Nikon’s Most Unique Lens Yet? Nikon 40mm F2 Z First Impressions

There isn’t much that is really, truly exciting in the lens world. Mostly, companies just try to make their own versions of something else. But that’s not the case with the Nikon 40mm f2 Z. There aren’t many 40mm lenses on the market with autofocus. And this one is checking off all the right marks. It’s small, has autofocus, and boasts beautiful image quality. But perhaps best of all is that it’s only $299.95. Quite honestly, it’s an impulse buy. And it’s the best lens outside of a nifty 50 you can get for that price.

Nikon Z9 is a camera with the same level of innovation as the D3, and will go far beyond the “mirrorless version of the D6.” Nikon Z9 uses dual pixel sensors to achieve an EVF display equivalent to that of an optical viewfinder, a faster frame rate, virtually blackout-free, and no noticeable rolling shutter effect, and the AF system has also evolved significantly.

Nikon Nikkor Z 58mm F0.95 S Noct Lens review: Ultra-high speed with high sharpness

The Nikon Nikkor Z 58mm F0.95 S Noct is an ultra-high speed manual focus lens for Nikon’s Z series of full-frame mirrorless cameras. The new Noct references the old manual focus AI and AIS Noct-Nikkor 58mm F1.2 from the mid-70s and early ’80s, a “special” lens designed to reduce coma particularly from bright light sources at night and in poor light. However, that’s where a good number of the similarities end.
