DUI 2ND: Man crashes car after leaving Tribe Bar, flees over fences into backyards — Lynn Flick arrested

Metro Nashville Police say 46-year-old Lynn Flick told them he was coming from drinking “two hard seltzers” at Tribe Bar on Church Street when he crashed his Jeep Liberty into fixtures on McGavock Pike, fled the scene of the wreck, and began hopping fences into backyards. One witness, who provided cell phone video of the incident, says he appeared to be asleep behind the wheel at the time of the crash. As police found him, they noted he was “clumsily” climbing over a fence gate, which was obviously unlocked and he could have simply opened. He is charged with DUI 2nd, and is free on pre-trial release.

Canadian tourist almost pukes on police vehicle — Colton Borle charged with public intoxication

24-year-old Canadian tourist Colton Borle was found leaning against a police vehicle just outside the Tin Roof Bar at 316 Broadway in downtown Nashville, and as officers approached him, he appears as if he was about to be sick from over intoxication. NFD responded to the scene to assist, however, Borle refused all assistance. He was so heavily intoxicated officers felt he was unable to care for himself, so he was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

UPDATED: Minivan strikes American Group building in Norwich

Norwich — A driver of a minivan lost control and struck the American Group Building at West Main on West Thames Street on Friday. Norwich Battalion Chief Greg Despathy said there were no injuries to either of the two occupants of the vehicle. The two people, who were out of the vehicle when the fire department arrived, were checked by medical personnel from Norwich Fire Department and American Ambulance, but refused further treatment.

Noblesville Fire responds to residence fire

Just before 9 p.m. on Saturday, November 14th, the Noblesville Fire Department (NFD) responded to a residence fire at 1407 Wayne Street. Crews were met with heavy smoke and fire extending from the home. Firefighters were able to make an aggressive interior attack and extinguish the fire. The homeowner was able to evacuate and call for help after smelling smoke. Hamilton County Communications dispatched the fire after the homeowner called 911. There were no injuries to citizens or firefighters. The cause and origin of the fire are still under investigation. NFD was assisted by the Noblesville Police Department. NFD would like to remind residents to check your smoke detector batteries.
