OnePlus to pay medical expenses, new phone to Nord 2 5G blast victim: Report

A few days ago, a man from Dhule, Maharashtra, posed a tweet, complaining about an explosion of the OnePlus Nord 2 smartphone that has left his leg injured. Following the debacle, the Chinese smartphone brand has now decided to bear the medical costs for the injured man. The company has also offered him a new smartphone, MySmartPrice reported. Two days ago, Sharma had posted a few photos showing how badly the thigh of the man was injured.

As per a MySmartPrice report, OnePlus India collected the burnt Nord 2 from the user. The device has reportedly been sent to the Pune service centre for further investigation. Meanwhile, OnePlus’ India operational head is said to be constantly in touch with the victim for help. The victim told the publication that the OnePlus refunded the amount and assured the victim that the company will take care of medical expenses.

Based on this, it’s safe to speculate that the company is likely to introduce Motorola Edge 30 Ultra as Moto Edge X in the Chinese market. Possible specifications of Motorola Edge 30 Ultra has also surfaced online.
