Bulls Sign Troy Baxter Jr.

The Bulls announced in a tweet that they have signed Troy Baxter Jr. Terms of the contract weren’t disclosed, but it’s likely to be an Exhibit 10 deal. Baxter is a rookie after going undrafted in 2021, so the move secures his G League rights. It’s highly likely that he’ll be waived before the season starts, and if he spends at least 60 days with the Windy City Bulls, Baxter would be eligible for a bonus worth up to $50K.

Chicago Bulls Announce They Have Signed Troy Baxter Jr.

The Chicago Bulls announced Friday night that they have signed undrafted free agent Troy Baxter Jr. While the logistics of the contract have not yet been announced, we know the Chicago Bulls do have two roster spots and one two-way contract still available. Considering Baxter has not been in training camp, however, it feels highly unlikely he will be awarded one of the final few seats on the bench. The alternative, of course, would be that Baxter is joining the team on a last-minute training camp deal. Arturas Karnisovas and Co. can then proceed to waive him before he inks a deal with the Windy City Bulls.

Week 6 NFL Practice Squad Power Rankings 2021: Let's talk about some famous dads

At its creation, the vision of the Practice Squad Power Rankings was multi-layered and ambitious -- an attempt to make fans care about players they're typically unaware of, then, track of every call up, building out a series that would give me one opportunity each week to step away from the football-jargon heavy pieces I usually write. For it to be successful, it absolutely had to be fun to read and write.
