Tommy Neal, Rockwood

Mr. Tommy Neal, age 61 of Rockwood, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 24th, 2021, at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was born on February 21st, 1960, in Cincinnati, OH. He was an awesome dad, husband, grandfather, brother, and outdoorsman. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He also worked as a machine operator at Selective Structures in Athens, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents: Thomas Neal Sr & Dee Gorth; and Brother: John M. Neal. He is survived by:

Christian M. Mainka

Jefferson, WI - CHRISTIAN M. MAINKA, 82 of Jefferson passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday September 22, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee. He was born on November 13, 1938, in Germany to Valentin and Elisabeth (Wons) Mainka. Christian grew up in Silesia, Germany graduating as a draftsman from the local technical high school. After immigrating to the USA, he co-founded Doucet & Mainka, a Professsional Engineering firm in Poughkeepsie, New York, retiring in 1991. After his divorce from his first wife, Charlotte, he married Carol in 1993. Together they wintered in the sunny South and enjoyed their summers in Jefferson. Christian enjoyed gardening, wine-making and he loved to take walks in the woods to enjoy nature. He was well known as a fix-it guy that took great pride in turning his house here in Jefferson into a "Fachwerkhaus" (German half-timbered house). He was an avid tennis player and a long-time Star Trek fan. Christian served in the United States Army in as a sharp shooter and was on standby for an airlift during the Berlin Crisis. He is survived by his family, wife Carol Mainka of Jefferson, daughters Christina with spouse Peter of VA, Annette with spouse David of Germany. Stepchildren, Lowell with spouse Katie of Deerfield, Lawrence with spouse Peggy and Cathy with spouse Clyde of Jefferson. Grandchildren, Marius, Kaj, Rosa, Felix, Julius and Hannah of Scotland and Germany. Step grandchildren Michael, Emily with spouse Matthew, James, Violet, Courtney with spouse Drew, and Briana. Step-great-grandchildren, Maddie, Abbie and Jude. Sister Maria with spouse Volkerof Germany. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Joachim, George and Rainer and sister Dorchen. Private family services were held on Saturday September 25, 2021. Christian was laid to rest in the St. John the Baptist Catholic cemetery with Military Honors.

Bert J. Barrett

Bert J. Barrett, 74, of Lee Center, NY, passed away peacefully at his home on September 20, 2021. He was born on April 20, 1947, in Rome, NY, to Bert and Mary Magdeline Barrett. He proudly served in the USMC after High School. Upon his honorable discharge he returned home and on August 17, 1968, married his high school sweetheart, Mary Bingham. They were married until her passing in January 1988. On September 25, 1999, he was united in marriage to Judy Ziemann.

Robert W. Montreuil Jr., 59, of Hudson

Hudson – Robert W. Montreuil Jr., 59, of Hudson, MA, died on Saturday, September 25, 2021 after a long period of declining health at Marlborough Hospital. Robert was born in Worcester, MA, son of the late Robert W. Sr. and Beverly A. (Dufault) Montreuil. He was raised in Marlborough, MA where he attended local schools and was a 1979 graduate of Assabet Valley Regional Technical H.S. He enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard and served during the Gulf War until being honorably discharged as a disabled Veteran. He has resided in Hudson since the early 80’s and was an active member locally of the International Evangelical Ministry Revival.

Lloyd Edward Wood (Army veteran), age 82, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021, beloved husband of the late Jacqueline Wood (nee Reed), loving father of Timothy Edward (Amy) Wood, cherished grandfather of Zachary Wood, devoted brother of Jack Wood, Douglas Wood and Teresa Wilson, he is also leaves a special friend Melodie Marksbury. Services will be held at the Williamsburg Presbyterian Church, 199 Gay Street, Williamsburg, Ohio on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 12pm. Visitation will be from 10am until the time of service at the church. Military Honors will be held graveside following the service.

Willard Oakley Harry, 91, of Pearisburg, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Giles Community Hospital. Mr. Harry was born In Waiteville, WV. On February 20, 1930 to the late Pete and Annie Davis Harry. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Wanda Dell Harless Harry and his siblings, Herman Harry, Otis Harry, Jerry Harry, Lacy Harry, Billy Harry, Arnold Harry, Emma Jean Harry, Betty Stallard, Blanche Gautier, Gladys Givens and Opal Lawson.

Army Veteran, Leo Giusti, of East Providence, Dies at 96

Leo Giusti, age 96, a lifelong resident of East Providence, died September 23, 2021. In 1943, Leo left high school and joined the US Army to proudly serve our country during WWII. He was a field lineman and hung communication lines from Marseilles, France to Witzenhausen, Germany. He saw active battle with the enemy in campaigns in the Rhineland and in Central Europe. His overseas experiences were valued lessons that he retained along with a deep sense of purpose and duty throughout his life.

James Edward Cary

James Edward Cary, age 77, of Glasgow, Kentucky, died Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at NHC in Glasgow, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Doris Milam Cary and Marshall Cary. He graduated from Temple Hill High School Class of 1962. James was a U.S. Army Veteran and entered the service in February 1963 and spent most of his time in Germany. He was retired, but enjoyed spending time with his family, loved NASCAR races, and watching Western movies. His professional career was a heavy equipment operator and mechanic.

Of Monroeville, formerly of North Braddock, age 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 23, 2021. Born the son of the late John and Anna (Cibula) Onder. Beloved husband of the late Helen (Zetkulic) Onder and the late Helen (Grega) Onder. Loving father of Burt (Cheryl) Onder of Canonsburg and Adrienne (Jim) McCurry of Gibsonia. Adored grandfather of Lynn (Aaron) Madden, Sharon (Jason) Oberdick, Jennifer (Matthew) Schnieders, and Jacquelyn (David) Gardner. Great-grandfather of Andrew, Joshua, Caroline, Noah, Lucas, Logan, Madison, Paige, and Evelyn. Preceded in death by six siblings. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Al was born and raised in North Braddock, where he resided for many years. He was a proud World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. After Al returned home, he began to work for the U.S. Steel Carrie Furnace, and eventually the Westinghouse East Pittsburgh plant, where he retired after 17 years of service. Al was a longtime member of the former East Pittsburgh VFW Post #5008 and the East Pittsburgh Moose. He was a dedicated Shriner and a member of the 33 rd Degree Mason Lodge #613 in Turtle Creek. Al was a devout and faithful member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in East Pittsburgh. Most of all, Al treasured the time spent and memories made with his loving family. Friends are welcome Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at PATRICK T.
