Michigan state police and prison officials have launched an investigation after a rap video was shot from inside a Michigan prison cell and posted online, according to the Detroit Free Press. The video for a song called “IN DIS CELL” was filmed inside the Macomb Correctional Facility and posted on YouTube — even though cell phones are banned from all Michigan prisons, according to the state’s Department of Corrections. Man found dead, tree uprooted after crash in Oakland County

(CBS DETROIT) - A Caro man was found dead after driving off the road, crashing into a tree, and uprooting another in Groveland Township, according to Michigan State Police.The incident happened at 200 Grange Hall on Tuesday, Nov. 29, with police receiving a report about the incident at 8:35 a.m. A motorist saw a car in the ditch along Grange Hall Road and stopped to check on it, and found the driver in the vehicle. The person called 911 to report the crash.The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.Investigation revealed that the 33-year-old man was driving eastbound on Grange Hall Road when he came up to a sharp curve in the road and veered left in a straight line, running off the roadway. The car hit a tree and uprooted another before stopping in a ditch several feet lower than the roadway.Police say alcohol bottles were found in the vehicle.The family is being notified.The investigation is ongoing, pending the medical examiner's results.

Eaton County man arrested on Thanksgiving, charged with domestic assault

CHESTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WILX) - A 29-year-old man was arraigned Monday in connection with a domestic incident that occurred on Thanksgiving. On Nov. 24, Eaton County Sheriff’s deputies and Michigan State Police troopers responded to a home located on Hubbard Road, between Vermontville and Lamie highways, just after 9:30 p.m. on reports of a domestic assault. Authorities said they had received a 911 call involving an intoxicated man who was destroying the house and threatening to harm the family pet.

18-year-old fatally shot while sitting inside car in Highland Park

(CBS DETROIT) - Michigan State Police are investigating after an 18-year-old man was found fatally shot in his vehicle in the parking lot of a Highland Park apartment complex. The incident happened at about 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 28, at the Gabrielle Apartments and Townhomes located in the 14000 block of Second Avenue.The Highland Park Police Department responded to reports of a shooting, and when they arrived at the apartment complex, they discovered an 18-year-old man near the parking lot suffering from several gunshot wounds.He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.According to MSP, further investigation revealed the 18-year-old was sitting in his car when two male suspects approached and fired several shots at him.Police say the investigation is ongoing.If anyone has any information about this incident, they are asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak-Up or 855.Mich.Tip.
