The following press release was submitted to the Town of Dedham by the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) (Download PDF) DEDHAM - The two-year Dedham Master Plan process, Designing Dedham 2030, is nearing its end. The draft Master Plan is ready for release and the Community Celebration will kick-off a public review period. On Saturday, December 4th, a hybrid in-person and virtual Community Celebration will be hosted at the Dedham Middle School and on Zoom from 11:00am to 1:00pm to review the draft Designing Dedham 2030 Master Plan. Attendees can participate in person or via Zoom at the same event. Spanish interpretation will be available. Other languages will be made available upon request. At the meeting, attendees can expect a brief overview of the master plan process and draft content including the vision statement and all master plan topic chapters, a question-and-answer panel hosted by the Master Plan Committee, and an informal open house to conclude the meeting. Master Plan topics include: public health and livability; land use and zoning; economic development; housing; natural, cultural, historic resources; transportation and connectivity; community facilities and services; and governance.
