09/20/21: Dan Levy inks sweeping Netflix deal

The 73rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards were handed out on Sunday, in a CBS ceremony hosted by “The Neighborhood” star Cedric the Entertainer from the L.A. Live deck. (“Lock the doors, we’re not leaving till we find a new host for ‘Jeopardy,’” said Cedric.”) Netflix’s “The Crown” took home the trophy for Outstanding Drama Series, while Apple TV+’s “Ted Lasso” landed the prize for Comedy Series. In Lead Actor categories, Josh O’Connor (“The Crown”) and Olivia Coleman (also “The Crown”) won for drama series, while Jason Sudekis (“Ted Lasso”) and Jean Smart (HBO Max’s “Hacks”) were comedy winners. Mercedes-Benz Consolidates Global Marcomms With Omnicom

STUTTGART — Mercedes-Benz has consolidated its global marketing communications agencies, awarding Omnicom the account after a six-month competitive pitch process. The group has created a dedicated unit, Team X, to service the German luxury car manufacturer, which said Omnicom would now handle corporate and product PR, and “global media, brand and performance marketing activities across all phases of the customer journey” including digital and data-based media. Team X will have responsibility for Mercedes business units in more than 40 markets.

Kendra is the Marketing Communications Specialist for the Center for Disabilities and explains how special celebrating 50 years of service to South Dakota individuals is to her. The Center for Disabilities will celebrate by hosting a run, walk, and roll at Cherry Rock Park in Sioux Falls. All ages and abilities are welcome to participate in the races. The proceeds will support individuals and families of people with disabilities. There will be 1K, 5K, and 10K options available, along with family yoga and USD cheerleaders at the park. Over 100 beauty brands pause social media to advocate for climate change policies

On Tuesday, over 100 beauty brands will push their consumers to pick up the phone and call their federal representatives in support of federal climate change policies. The call to action is called CodeRed4Climate and occurs during Climate Change Week, a grassroots national event to encourage action and provide education about the climate change crisis. Through the participating brands, which include Versed, Youth to the People, Nécessaire and Uoma Beauty, the call to action will reach over 50 million social media followers. The participating brands are all hitting pause on their social media platforms on September 21 to advocate for solutions to the growing climate crisis. In lieu of usual marketing communications, they’re posting an open letter to Congress across their social media channels and on their website. It will indicate their support for lawmaker action on the climate and stating their own pledges of continued climate action.

Wärtsilä signs five-year Optimised Maintenance agreement featuring latest digital innovations with STQ of Canada

Wärtsilä Corporation, Trade press release, 20 September 2021 at 10.30 AM EEST. The technology group Wärtsilä has entered into a customised five-year Optimised Maintenance agreement with Canadian ferry operator Societé des Traversiers du Quebec (STQ). The agreement covers the ‘F.A. Gauthier’, a 133 metres long ferry operating with Wärtsilä 34DF dual-fuel engines and other Wärtsilä equipment. Signing of the agreement took place in the second quarter of 2021 and there is a further five-year extension option. This agreement is a renewal of a maintenance agreement that had been running for the previous five years.
