Locarno hits the Chan Centre with its joyful, groove-heavy Mexican folk music

Get ready to end October on a fiesta-worthy note, when Locarno brings the celebratory spirit of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) to the Chan Centre. On October 30 at 8 pm, the cross-pollinating multipiece band will take over the Chan Shun Concert Hall with its exuberant energy, showing how it keeps adding layers to its traditional roots.

Cohen Media Group has picked up all North American rights from Kinology to actress Aurélie Saada’s feature directorial debut Rose starring Françoise Fabian. The film received its world premiere inat Locarno Film Festival in August and centres on a 78-year-old woman who has just lost her husband of more than 50 years.
