CMV: The heel of a loaf of bread tastes better than a regular slice

When you make toast with the heel it just soaks up all the butter right down to the last layer of bread before the crust. It makes toast have a chewy texture that just makes it have a more satisfying chew and I feel more full after eating the heel compared to a normal slice of bread. I feel fulfilled. And I'm not just saying heels are better for toasting, I also believe heels are better for sandwiches, for dipping in soup, I think they're even better when having a slice of bread with a bit of butter slapped on it when you have one desperate minute to eat breakfast before running out to get the train before work. The heel is better in every scenario. I actively look forward to eating the heel, getting down to that last bit of bread, so I'm glad I live with people who don't like it. I respect those who don't like the heel. But I don't understand why. submitted by /u/mabahab [link] [comments]
