But in the months since, we've been pretty distracted by the company's other projects, which have included a new version of its Baja buggy and news of a roadgoing version of its 1,400-horsepower Le Mans racer.

Mansory Takes Its Frustrations Out On Rolls-Royce Ghost

Owning a Rolls-Royce is a privilege. They only make a handful of these British ultra-luxury land yachts every year, and you need to be rather wealthy to afford one. Like in most other aspects of life these days, owning the best simply isn't enough anymore. Even the best cars, watches, and private jets need an element of individuality, and the Rolls-Royce Ghost you see in front of you perfectly exemplifies that late-stage capitalist urge. Mansory, a tuning company specializing in high-end luxury cars is no stranger to modifying Rolls-Royce cars, but as we've seen in the past, the company's kits tend to be a hit or a major miss. We recently covered Rolls-Royce's own special edition Ghost; a tasteful thing that exudes grace and style. Mansory's response: hold my beer.

The last four weeks have been a fun venture in researching and watching sports films I’ve never seen before and re-familiarizing myself with some of my favorites. McQueen’s moped is up for grabs, Glickenhaus’ futuristic pickup, the E-Class’s EV sibling

Steve McQueen’s moped set to become the priciest on the planet. Intake: It may be the slowest “motorcycle” ever ridden by the King of Cool, but this 1970 Solex 3800 is guaranteed to sell fast. The quirky French machine was bought by Steve McQueen’s production company Solar Productions for him to scoot around the set of Le Mans. With its diminutive 49cc single-cylinder two-stroke motor it was, indeed, marginally faster than walking. These Solex or VéloSolex bikes were incredibly simply devices, with the engine mounted over the front wheel and using friction drive directly to the tire. To start you’d hold a decompression lever, pedal like mad, and then release it. Only then would the engine splutter into life. Some models would only run at full throttle—rather like McQueen himself. The Solex will be for sale at RM Sotheby’s Monterey auction on August 14 and is expected to fetch up to $50,000.
