A torn labrum was to keep Moira Baxter out all season. Then the LSE senior dug deep and is back in the lineup

Moira Baxter says it's tough. It's tough not being behind the plate, catching softball games for her team. The Lincoln Southeast senior has been starting since she was a freshman. This should have marked season No. 4 as a starting catcher at the varsity level, no small feat in Class A. Instead, Baxter is in the dugout when her team is on defense, cheering them on between pitches and outs.

Fentanyl pills sparked dispute, led to fatal shooting in Kenmore, prosecutors say

A dispute over the delivery of fentanyl pills led to a fatal shooting in Kenmore last month, according to prosecutors. A 23-year-old man, whose last known address is in Bellevue, was arrested Sept. 2 in Snohomish County and was booked into the King County Jail on investigation of homicide and unlawful possession of a firearm, jail and court records show. He remains jailed in lieu of $2 million bail, though he was charged Wednesday only with the firearm offense as King County Sheriff’s detectives continue to investigate the circumstances of the homicide, according to the records.
