KNOXVILLE - Cynthia “Cindy” Bacon Wallace, age 64, of Knoxville, TN, originally of Kingsport, TN won her battle against cancer and went to be with the Lord on September 20, 2021. She was a self-employed real estate appraiser. She loved her girls, her grandchildren, traveling, and football. GO VOLS! The thrill of her life was to discover five biological siblings after nearly 60 years apart. Preceded in death by her husband, Tim Wallace; parents, Clarence and Mabel (Jimmie) Bacon; unborn grandchild, Londyn Marie Haynes; brother, Michael Bacon (Becky); mother-in-law, Dorothy Wallace. She is survived by her daughters, Jocelyn Moore and husband Jason, Justine Haynes and husband Justin; brothers and sisters, Wayne Richards (Michelle), Sherrie Dringenberg, Tina Crowe, Jeff Ottinger and Lesa Bradford; grandchildren, Kyleigh and Adalyn Worth, Mason Haynes, father-in-law, Victor Wallace; and many special cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Maxine Jude, 83 of Delbarton, WV departed this life September 16, 2021 while a patient at the Tug Valley ARH. Maxine was born June 15, 1938 at Puritan, WV. She was a homemaker and loved traveling, going to the Delbarton Opry House, watching church and listening to gospel music on TV and most of all spending time with her family. Eva L. Brisendine, 88, of Hiram, GA passed away on Wednesday September 14, 2021, in Marietta, GA. A Memorial Service will be held at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Powder Springs, GA. on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at 6:00 PM with Rev. Kelly Brisendine officiating. Eva is survived by her daughter Sandra K. Bruce of Marietta, GA. and son Rev. Kelly Brisendine (Chris) of Snellville, Ga.; 6 grandchildren, Carleigh, Kyleigh, & Kellyn Brisendine, Kelly, Sean, & Connor Bruce and their dad Scott Bruce, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Still Brisendine, and 4 sisters. Eva was born in Conyers, Georgia. She later moved with her husband and son in 1964 to Austell, Georgia. She and Robert raised both of their children there and then moved to Hiram in 1998. Eva was a faithful member of Austell First UMC for many years and loved her church family. She also loved "Days of our lives", desserts and sending cards to friends and family. Eva's sweet spirit will be missed but the family rejoices that God has provided her with ultimate and eternal healing. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donation be made in Eva's name to Sweetwater Valley Camp Arrangements made under the caring guidance of Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home 770-943-1511.

Pleasantville Cross Country Struggles in Home Meet, Volleyball Travels to Panorama

Pleasantville’s cross country squads struggled in their home meet Monday, while the volleyball team will take a trip to Panorama today. The Trojans’ boys finished seventh overall, placing ahead of Colfax-Mingo, Montezuma, Saydel, and Southeast Warren. Pleasantville’s top finisher was Devon Luing with a time of 19:12, which was good for 11th overall. Second on the Trojans was Jenkin Fulmer with a time of 19:54, good for 16th overall.
