With ‘Choose To Live,’ Star Trek: Discovery Makes A Play For ‘Best’ Series Iteration

Often when we talk about Star Trek: Discovery, its inauspicious beginnings are typically what’s brought up. In our own coverage, I talk about the beginning a lot. Not because I didn’t like it, quite the contrary. The first episodes of this series, the first new Star Trek show in more than a decade, were shocking and unlike anything that came before. (But, even I think they were wilding out with the Klingons.) Yet in episode 3 of season 4, “Choose to Live,” I can see fans in the not-too-distant future citing Star Trek: Discovery as their favorite series in the canon. Perhaps this was always the plan but putting the cast far into the future of the universe put them right where they belong.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ Enterprise is 25% different than you remember

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will continue to use the re-designed Enterprise. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will feature the same U.S.S. Enterprise that fans saw at the end of Star Trek: Discovery’s first season. The Enterprise is supposed to be the same ship seen in the original series and first few films, but there’s a bit of a difference that some may not realize.

The Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Character You Are Based On Your Zodiac Sign

"Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" was born from the popularity of "Star Trek: The Next Generation." "Deep Space Nine" is anything but a carbon copy, however — the show's creators took care to make it an original show with its own conflicts, characters, and premise (via StarTrek.com). Uniquely, "Deep Space Nine" is set on a space station instead of a starship, is decidedly more spiritual, and features a more dramatic tone. It also stars an all-new cast, playing all-new kinds of characters — a far cry from the more homogenous Starfleet heroes seen on the Enterprise-D.
