Kansas, a 31-point underdog, stuns Texas in OT as Longhorns' losing streak hits 5 games for first time since 1956

AUSTIN, Texas -- Everything was going against Kansas late. The momentum. The crowd. The score. Jalon Daniels hit fullback Jared Casey -- a walk-on who hadn't caught a pass this season -- on a scrambling throw for a 2-point conversion in overtime and Kansas stunned Texas 57-56 Saturday night to snap the Jayhawks' eight game losing streak this season and a 56-game losing streak in Big 12 road contests that stretched back to 2008.

Two more major storylines included No.13 Baylor giving No. 8 Oklahoma its first loss and Florida's first-half scare against Samford.

What Sam Burt’s decision to redshirt and return in 2022 means to some within the Kansas football program

LAWRENCE — Sam Burt’s tweet Wednesday afternoon, in which he said he’d be redshirting this season so he could return to Kansas football in 2022, didn’t break any news. Jayhawks head coach Lance Leipold had said Tuesday that Burt, a super-senior defensive lineman, would be doing that. It was understood that Burt, who’d missed significant time this season due to what he described Wednesday as a broken arm, would be a part of the second year of...

'Great wingman’ Jack Roche’s Legacy Lives on

Save for a single day, Jack Roche’s three-year run as a Kansas football student manager was a master class in reliability, selflessness and hard work. And even on that lone morning when Murphy’s law found its way into his dorm room, Jack still managed to prove his commitment to that job — and leave a legacy felt even after his passing.
