First day of Football conditioning officially kicks off August 2

According to University Interscholastic league (UIL) August 2 marks the first day of high school football conditioning. Of course this is the official date and if the young men have not been conditioning prior to this day the coaches will be able to tell very quickly. But it seems like the Comanche players have been showing up to the volunteer workouts this summer and should be in good shape for the upcoming season.

‘Cats tune up with Tigers and Rebels

Tullahoma High School Football played host to a Big Man Challenge and 7v7 matchup with Fayetteville City High School and Franklin County High School this past week. The Big Man Challenge included events that tested the players speed, agility, and strength. Players were challenged with a relay agility course, sled pushes for team time, and even pulled a tractor by ropes for team time.

Senior Adison Sullenger moves into a new role for the Caldwell County Lady Tigers this season, taking over as the full-time setter for the defending 2nd Region champs. Sullenger has honed her setting skills on the junior varsity level and isn’t new to the varsity lineup, but is new to being the primary setter on the varsity level.

Tiger Tennis Fall Varsity Tryout Information

The Tiger Tennis team will be having their fall try outs and having varsity only tryouts. What this means is you will only need to come to tryouts if you are attempting to make the Varsity Tiger Tennis Team (note: all seniors must try out for varsity as there will be no seniors on Junior varsity). The varsity team will consist of no more than 10 guys and 10 girls.

Grindle Comes Home to Lead the Pilgrims

At tonight’s school board meeting, the PCSC school board approved Joel Grindle to be the next Boy’s Basketball coach at Plymouth High School. Coach Grindle is a 1999 graduate of Plymouth High School. While at PHS, he was a multi-sport student athlete who earned 6 varsity letters (3 football and 3 basketball).

THE CALDWELL JUNIOR VARSITY summer league volleyball team

THE CALDWELL JUNIOR VARSITY summer league volleyball team finished fifth in the Division 2 Gold Bracket of the Aggieland Summer Volleyball League’s (ASVL) recent tournament in Madisonville. The Franklin Green team won the Gold Bracket title for Division 2 with the Franklin White team placing second and Centerville third. This was the 17th year for the ASVL.

Rare 100 straight highlights day of big performances for A&A Shooters at season-ending California Open

As the temperatures soared to record-breaking highs, so also did the scores of the local A&A Shooters youth clay target team as they competed at the California Open Invitational at Kingsburg Gun Club south of Fresno on Saturday, June 19. Nearly 300 young athletes from throughout the state representing a range of experience levels participated in a one-day, 200-target youth trap competition. For the A&A Shooters, it was an opportunity to perform as a team on a larger stage and a chance to show how far they had come since the season started in February.
