Gregory Flanigan

Gregory Flanigan, 85, passed away Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022. He was born Jan. 19, 1936, in Salamanca, N.Y., and grew up in Jamestown, N.Y., where he attended St. James Parish Grade School and graduated from Jamestown High School in June of 1954. He then joined the U.S. Navy in July of 1954 and served four years, spending three of those years as a sonarman aboard the USS James C. Owens, a destroyer. When visiting relatives in Elyria, Gregory met Martha Kiser, whom he then married on June 20, 1959.

Collaborative Children’s Solutions Creates Kid Connections

Patrick Smeraldo is making connections and providing opportunities with his new organization, Collaborative Children’s Solutions. Smeraldo founded the nonprofit in May of last year to help area children by partnering with service providers, agencies, organizations and school districts in the county on unique projects.
