‘Captain America/Iron Man: The Armor & The Shield’ review

It’s an exciting time for the old red, white, and blue shield bearer, with not just one but two ongoing Captain America titles on the slate for this summer. Before we crack open Sentinel of Liberty or Symbol of Truth, let’s revisit Cap’s latest adventure in writer Derek Landy, artist Angel Unzueta, and colorist Rachelle Rosenberg’s Captain America/Iron Man: The Armor and The Shield trade paperback. Collecting all five issues from the mini-series of the same name, this is an enjoyable and compact story that builds on the mythos of both characters while rewarding readers who have kept up with Landy’s previous work at Marvel — though at times it can feel a little overstuffed.

Marvel Licenses Stan Lee's Likeness for Theme Parks, Merch, Maybe Even Movies

You might be seeing Stan Lee again, thanks to a deal that licenses the late Marvel supremo's likeness for theme parks, merchandise and other Disney entertainments. Before his death in 2018, the ebullient former Marvel comics writer and editor-in-chief made cameos in each Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, and was as well known as the characters he co-created like Spider-Man, the Hulk and Iron Man.

Nerds Rejoice! Superhero Neighborhood Being Built in Texas Right Now

Imagine being a kid growing up in superhero neighborhood? I would have freaked out if this was my address. For some reason, Texas communities have started naming new neighborhoods after specific things. For instance, in 2020 I did a story on a Dallas Cowboys themed neighborhood in San Antonio. Every street was named after a different Dallas Cowboys player. I love the Cowboys, but I know not everybody does. How about superheros?
