Two men arrested in slaying of teens at Wilson Apartments

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) – Two men have been arrested in the June murder of two teens at Wilson Apartments. According to Columbus Police, Homer Upshaw, age 26, and Terrance Upshaw, age 29, have been arrested in connection to the deadly shootings that happened on June 14, 2021, at the apartment complex located in the 3400 block of 8th Avenue.

Man convicted in triple-fatal Shawano County crash, loses appeal

SHAWANO (WLUK) – A man convicted in a triple-fatal crash who argued the judge erred at sentencing by how his marijuana use was treated at sentencing has lost his appeal. Ryan Swadner was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the October, 2014 crash in Belle Plaine. Paige Brunette, Cody Borsche and Tyler Welch, all passengers in Swadner's vehicle, were killed.

Caddo Just Made the Largest Fentanyl Drug Bust For Our Area

Recently, the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office has been on a roll. They've made several extremely large drug busts recently that have taken large quantities of narcotics and guns off the streets. And today is no different. According to Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator, a joint investigation with the DEA, the Desoto Parish Sheriff's Office, Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office, Shreveport Police and Louisiana State Police led to "the largest fentanyl seizure in Caddo Parish or the surrounding area"

Two more suspects in custody; Operation Pentagon arrest tally now 20

Two more suspects have turned themselves in to local police following a four-day, countywide drug sweep that resulted in 18 initial arrests in Hampton County last week. Clint Austin Gunnells, of Brunson, and Takevia Shanell Wilson, of Hampton, turned themselves in to law enforcement authorities early this week, setting the arrest total for Operation Pentagon at 20 suspects to date.

SYLVAN BEACH, NY —Three people who overdosed last week in a Sylvan Beach home where five children were sleeping are now facing criminal charges. Also, a woman previously arrested in the overdose cases was charged Monday after police followed up on a tip that she returned home after last week’s arrest and was selling drugs, police said. A search Monday found fentanyl, cocaine and crystal methamphetamine along with cash in her home, police said.
