BROWNSVILLE, Texas – State Rep. Alex Dominguez is in talks to bring a $5 billion electric car manufacturing and assembling operation to Brownsville. The Brownsville lawmaker announced preliminary details at a news conference held at the Port of Brownsville by Texas A&M University to unveil a $10 million RGV Advanced Manufacturing/Training Innovation Now (TRAIN) program.

Man sentenced after pleading guilty to robbing Wilmington bank, brandishing screwdriver

A Wilmington man was sentenced Thursday to more than four years in prison for a bank robbery where he brandished a screwdriver. Glenn Alin Martinoff, 68, pled guilty to the charge in June from the January robbery, according to a news release from the United States Attorney’s Office's Eastern District of North Carolina. He received a 56-month sentence.
