Patrols to increase this back-to-school season

PERU, IN- The Peru Police Department announced that it will be increasing patrols this back-to-school season to protect students going to and from school. Starting as early as next week, officers will be out in greater numbers watching for stop-arm violations and motorists driving dangerously along school bus stops and in school zones.

Peru police increasing patrols at bus stops, school zones

PERU — The Peru Police Department is beefing up patrols along bus stops and routes to look for stop-arm violations and motorists driving dangerously. Police said the increased bus patrols could start as early as next week as students head back to school. Officers on overtime patrols will be sent out to watch for stop-arm violations, speeders and other dangerous drivers at bus stops and school zones.
