Report: Wright likely to join Canada's world junior selection camp

Shane Wright is expected to land in Moncton on Thursday to join the group that will take part in Canada's national junior team selection camp, reports TSN's Darren Dreger. The Seattle Kraken rookie wasn't among the 29 players Hockey Canada chose Monday for the camp, which will run from Friday through next Monday. Canada's hockey brass selected the forward for the original 2022 world juniors, but the tournament was canceled after two games due to COVID-19. Wright didn't take part in the rescheduled August event.

CBJ Foundation announces over $1 million granted to local organizations

Foundation's cumulative investment since 2000 now totals $13.1 million. This evening the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation announced the investment of $1.15 million in local charitable and youth hockey organizations. This year's grants push the Foundation's cumulative support of youth health and wellness initiatives in central Ohio to $13.1 million since its inception in 2000.
