Harmony Grove Hornets dominate Dollarway Cardinals at home 45-6 to start 2021 conference play

After two tough losses on the road, the Harmony Grove Hornets looked to get a rebound back home in their first conference game of the season against the Dollarway Cardinals. The winner of this game would get a great head start going into the rest of the season for the conference title. Not only did the Hornets packed a powerful stinger on both sides of the ball, but they also made the Cardinals pay for their errors as Harmony Grove won big 45-6 on Friday night.

Malvern overpowers Bauxite 40-20

Lighting delays force cancellation for Beavers vs. Harmony Grove

GLEN ROSE — With tough weather conditions Friday, the Glen Rose Beavers game against Haskell Harmony Grove was forced to cancel at Beaver Stadium. The Beavers will return to football action next Friday to host Jessieville to begin 5-3A Conference play at Beaver Stadium. Glen Rose earned their first season win last week at home against Magnet Cove and is currently 1-1 overall.

Camden Fairview's Martavius Thomas and Harmony Grove's Logan McCann named players of the week

As teams are starting to find their identities and rhythm on the field, several players continue to prove their worth as high-caliber players. Week three had some unique games this past Friday night as two different teams came out with different results. The Camden Fairview Cardinals hosted the Hamburg Lions with little-to-no resistance as they won 52-0. The Harmony Grove Hornets came out of a bye-week with eagerness and intensity as they traveled to face the Fordyce Redbugs. While the game came down to the wire, the Hornets couldn't finish with a win, as they lost to the Redbugs with a 22-20 score. Two fantastic performances came out of those games from both teams as Cardinals quarterback Martavius Thomas and Hornets defensive end Logan McCann were named offensive and defensive players of the week, respectively.
