Grading Bleacher Report’s Utah Jazz trade idea

In spite of an uneven 2021-22 NBA season thus far, the Utah Jazz are undeniably NBA championship contenders. Bleacher Report evidently knows this, and so they included the Jazzmen in a recent article proposing a trade idea for every NBA contender accordingly. Often times, fans of NBA teams bulk at hypothetical trades. It’s understandable enough. If a fan isn’t attached to the players on their team, are they really a fan?

Blackhawks: Grading Connor Murphy and a position comparison

For the past four or five years, the Chicago Blackhawks defense has been the achilles heel of the team. Those players have received more scrutiny than any other players. This year, Hawks’ fans have been especially hard on Seth Jones, Jake McCabe and Connor Murphy– three of the four highly paid defenseman.

Grading the Cowboys: Until Dak Prescott fixes his issues, little else goes for Dallas

Here are Jean-Jacques Taylor’s grades from the Cowboys’ 36-33 overtime loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Thanksgiving:. Dak Prescott was mad because the Dallas Cowboys weren’t physical in their loss to Kansas City. He vowed it would be different this week but it wasn’t. Dallas managed just 64 yards as Ezekiel Elliott continued a string of games with poor production. He had 25 yards and continues to fight through a knee injury and the Cowboys averaged just 3.2 per carry.

Game remasters must respect creative history, not just make a fast buck | Opinion

The night that the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition launched, my finger hovered over the buy button in the PlayStation Store for a pretty long time. I knew there weren't any reviews or hands-on pieces about the remastered games yet, but I figured that in the worst case scenario, even a fairly low-effort remastering would still leave intact everything that made these games so iconic -- just with a better resolution and frame-rate, and hopefully some improved controls on the earlier games.

Grading Raiders’ victory against Cowboys

How the Raiders performed in a 36-33 overtime win against the Cowboys. Derek Carr had a 22-yard run. And looked pretty fast doing so. He also threw for 373 yards and a score. Josh Jacobs had a drop that might have gone for a long touchdown, but he managed 87 yards and a score with a long of 21 off 22 carries. There was even a Marcus Mariota sighting. One of those goal-line packages coaches constantly talk about paid off with a 3-yard scoring run from the backup quarterback with 7:13 left in the third quarter, leading to a 24-13 advantage. Tight end Darren Waller (two catches, 33 yards) was lost to injury in the second quarter.

Look Back ... to a school grading policy taking a toll, 1996

Nov. 26, 1946, in The Star: A conference which one day might well be termed a turning point in the history of this part of the state was held yesterday in the Recreation Building by the banks of the Coosa River in Gadsden. That’s where a delegation of business and government men met with the U. S. Army District Engineer to discuss the development of the Coosa River and its tributaries — as provided for in legislation passed by the last Congress. The chief concern of the meeting was the development of the Alabama and Coosa rivers above Montgomery simultaneously with, or before, the improvement of the Alabama River’s lower reaches. The potential conflict being addressed in the meeting is that while the Army Corps of Engineers seems to want to develop the Alabama-Coosa River system only below Montgomery, officials from northeast Alabama (and into Georgia) believe it was Congress’ intent in allocating the money that the entire river system be developed — particularly up this way, where the greater population and industrial growth has been in recent years. Congressman Albert Rains, who headed the Alabama delegation in Gadsden, emphasized that “the whole basis for this legislation is the need for hydro-electric power … it’s needed up in the Alabama-Coosa Valley.” Also this date: A total of 21 persons died in Calhoun County last year from the effects of tuberculosis, according to Miss Sarah Hanks of Anniston, who is the Calhoun County chairman of the 1946 Christmas Seal sale. The campaign presents an organized appeal for funds with which to help prevent and control tuberculosis — a highly communicable disease.

GAME GRADES: Hoyas Average in San Diego State Test

Late Night Hoyas did not disappoint. Or they did. I don’t really know. I am very full and very tired. Ultimately, the Hoyas failed their toughest test of the season against a KenPom-ranked 35 SDSU state team that is just the worst! (see below). But there were definitely some positives. Dante and Aminu at the top of that list. How did the various Hoyas grade out on a mostly arbitrary scale? Check it out, including a new grading category and the first F of the year...

Grading the Buffalo Bills in their 31-6 victory over the New Orleans Saints on Thursday at the Superdome:. Quarterback Josh Allen took on a more active role, carrying eight times for 43 yards. That helped the Bills to a team total of 113 yards on 32 carries. Devin Singletary led the way with 15 carries for 44 yards.
