One firefighter injured following two-alarm fire in Hampton

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — On Saturday afternoon, crews responded to reports of a commercial fire off of West Mercury Blvd. in Hampton. Fire officials said they were called to a beauty store in the 4000 block of W Mercury Blvd. around 3:40 p.m. The fire at the store, Apple Tree Beauty Emporium, was marked out nearly three hours after it began.

Sheriff seeking public’s help to find armed robber stalking Prince George County businesses

HYATTSVILLE, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s CID – Robbery Unit is investigating a string of commercial armed robberies that have occurred across the county beginning June 18. Detectives are hoping that someone in the community can help identify this suspect in these newly released photos and videos. A cash reward of up to $2,500 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in these cases.

Man shot on E. Washington St. in Suffolk

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY)– Suffolk Police say a man was shot on E. Washington Street early Saturday morning. According to a news release from Suffolk Police, officers responded to the 600 block of E.
