Joe Judge at first Giants crossroads after shambolic Daniel Jones risk

It is over the top to call it a crisis, but not unfair to characterize the time and place of the Giants right now as the first crossroads for Joe Judge. The first-year head coach miscalculated with his decision to start an immobile Daniel Jones in Week 14 and the results were shambolic. Jones could not get the job done physically – taking his legs away left him unable to function – and, perhaps more damagingly, the mental toll heaped upon a 23-year old quarterback taking the field while debilitated was not properly taken into account.

Cover 3: What we learned from Giants vs. Cardinals

Takeaways from the New York Giants' 26-7 loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 14:. John Schmeelk: Last week and in previous Cover 3 editions, I wrote about how the Giants had found a formula for winning. If they could follow the formula of winning the turnover battle, running the football and playing from ahead, they would have a good chance to continue to stack wins.

What the Giants' Week 14 Snap Counts Reveal

The Giants snap counts don’t begin to tell us how ugly their showing against the Arizona Cardinals was. Still, if you saw or followed the game at any point, you know that this loss was as close to a total team breakdown—execution and coaching—as this team has seen since Week 3’s blowout loss to the 49ers.

NJ native Haason Reddick cried after dominating Giants for Cardinals

Haason Reddick grew up in the part of New Jersey reserved for hating the Giants — and he played like it on Sunday. Reddick tortured the Giants and their hobbled quarterback, Daniel Jones, for a Arizona Cardinals-record five sacks and three forced fumbles — maybe the NFL defensive performance of the year — to fuel a 26-7 victory at MetLife Stadium.

Giants coach Joe Judge: 'No regrets' playing hamstrung QB Daniel Jones

Aiming for an NFC East title and of the belief that their second-season signal-caller Daniel Jones would give them the best shot at a win over the Arizona Cardinals, the New York Giants started Jones on Sunday, bum hamstring at all. It was a decision that worked out dreadfully, the...

New York Giants still need more from Daniel Jones and their offense

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The magic formula had been working for the New York Giants. Play good defense, run the ball and make enough plays in the passing game to win a low-scoring game. The formula worked as the Giants won four straight and averaged 21.5 points per game. But...

A Deeper Dive into Why the Giants Lost to the Arizona Cardinals

There’s no such thing as an easy game in the NFL. Likewise, there’s no such thing as a hard game. What it all comes down to in the end is coaching. And this Giants team, which has looked so solid from both a coaching and execution perspective of late, was outmaneuvered by a Cardinals brain trust that zoomed in on the Giants' weaknesses and exploited them to the point of embarrassment.

Listen to Episode 58 of ‘Blue Rush’: Giants Say Bye to Winning Streak, First Place feat. Bob Papa

It was fun while it lasted for the Giants. First place has gone by the wayside. The four-game winning streak is over. This could be the beginning of the end for the Giants playoff hopes. Daniel Jones and the offense were sluggish to say the least in a putrid performance, falling 26-7 to the Cardinals, who snapped their three-game losing streak. It was not pretty from the first few minutes into the game to the very end.
