Southern : More Than 550,000 Georgia Power Customers Without Power as Hurricane Zeta Crosses

More than 550,000 Georgia Power customers were without power in Georgia as of 7 a.m. ET Thursday as the Hurricane Zeta crosses, the Southern Co. electric subsidiary said. The company said it is working to repair more than 3,500 individual cases of damage due to already saturated ground, high wind gusts, heavy rain and fallen trees, as well as to restore power.
