Dogs Dominate (Other) Dogs

I will be the first to admit that I got my score prediction wrong in the Game Preview for Fresno State’s game against UCONN. I said Fresno State would score one more touchdown than they did, that was my bad. I did also expect UCONN to put up a bit more of a fight, since they ended up just crossing the 100 total yard mark, and the only time they spent in the endzone was fielding kickoffs. Let’s look back at a record setting day in Bulldog Stadium, both on and off the field.

How to watch Fresno State vs. Cal Poly: Live stream, TV channel, start time for Saturday's NCAA Football game

After a tough loss on the road their last time out, the Fresno State Bulldogs look much better today on their home turf. Three quarters in and their offense has really been able to impose its will, dominating the Cal Poly Mustangs 56-10 three quarters in. A victory for the Bulldogs would counteract both their recent loss and Cal Poly's recent win.

Duck Tape: Film Analysis of Fresno State 2021

Thanks to Caleb Nale of Beware of Bulldogs podcast for joining me a second time to review last week’s matchup against UConn. Listen HERE. Fresno St’s game against UConn last Saturday went from a tight, defensive battle to a blowout in the span of two single-play touchdown drives at the end of the first half, turning the rest of the game into garbage time. Fortunately I had charted all six of the Bulldogs’ 2020 games, and most of their per-play success rates in each aspect of the game prior to garbage time were basically the same as last year. I reviewed Fresno St’s roster with Caleb a couple of weeks ago, and while we saw a couple of personnel changes this is essentially the same team.

Roundtable: Fresno State Predictions

Oregon is set to welcome the Fresno State Bulldogs to Eugene this weekend and we're just as excited as the fans to get the season rolling. A lot can be said of the players to watch on both sides of the ball, but we'll have that for you in other stories.

Oregon Football: 3 hot takes from tight opening win vs. Fresno State

Week 1 is in the books for Oregon football and if you’re anything like me, you came away disappointed that things were as close as they were against Fresno State. The Ducks raced out to a two-touchdown lead in the first quarter and it seemed as if they were on their way to a blowout win, but Fresno State closed the gap and ultimately took a lead. The Bulldogs held a three-point lead in the fourth quarter until a fumble led to the tying field goal and then Anthony Brown put the game away thanks to his legs with under three minutes left.

The History of Fresno State Football

Fresno is an important aspect of Fresno’s life. Without a university, the town would be a very different place. This is especially true during the football season, when the Fresno State Bulldog is the centerpiece of the city. Since its inception 100 years ago, the Fresno State University football team...
