Check back every day this weekend from September 23-26 for a look into this year’s Firefly Music Festival at the Woodlands in Dover. Good spirits returned to the Woodlands on Thursday night, Sept. 23, after campers endured hours of muddy traffic and finally planted tent spikes into the soft ground.

On Twitter, Firefly said it would not open its gates at 3 p.m. as planned with drenching rains and the threat of thunder and lightning in the forecast. They said all camping tollbooths and RV and glamping fields will remain closed at this time.

Eminem’s Famous Lyric About Barfing Has Inspired a New Restaurant

Eminem is turning one of the most famous lines in music history about vomit into a new restaurant, Mom’s Spaghetti, which will open its doors in Detroit next Wednesday, September 29th. The restaurant’s name, of course, comes from the indelible opening lines of Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” — “His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy/There’s vomit on his sweater already, mom’s spaghetti.” But the restaurant itself isn’t a new concept: As The Detroit News reports, Em opened a Mom’s Spaghetti pop-up in 2017, while last year he delivered Mom’s Spaghetti food to frontline workers at Detroit hospitals (there were also...

Firefly On The Fly: The Killers, Sylvan Esso, Arlo Parks and more make day two a hit-parade

Because of the rain delay, I only caught five artists on opening day of Firefly 2021. If that seemed a bit light, day two totally made up for lost ground, with double the amount of sets and probably triple the amount of photos on my SD card (many of those being the ultra-charismatic Cage The Elephant). Read on for a rundown of things heard and seen, and check out our day one coverage here.

Eminem Is Turning His ‘Mom’s Spaghetti’ Pop-Up Concept Into A Permanent Restaurant

Eminem is going from rapper to restauranteur with next week’s opening of Mom’s Spaghetti, a new eatery based on the pop-up concept inspired by one of his most famous lyrics. The Detroit rapper previously brought the dish based on his famous “Lose Yourself” line to his Revival promotional event, as well as a second pop-up dedicated to the hospital workers of Detroit during last year’s quarantines. He also brought the pop-up to Coachella and Firefly in 2018 when he headlined those festivals. To promote the restaurant, Eminem even shot a tongue-in-cheek commercial that is currently airing on local TV.

Firefly Music Festival fashion promotes culture that isn't judgmental

Brandon Ferrell has been a blessing to music fans at Firefly. And all it took was him strutting around in a nun’s costume. On a sunny Friday afternoon in The Woodlands, the 23-year-old from Wilmington garnered praise from wanderers for his religious outfit during day two of the four-day festival.
