Pirates' Cole Tucker: Resumes on-field work

Tucker has been dealing with an illness recently but resumed on-field work Tuesday, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. Tucker was sent to Triple-A Indianapolis on June 6, but he hasn't appeared in a game since June 13 due to a bronchitis-type issue. However, he wasn't placed on the minor-league injured list and is expected to return to game action in the near future.

Big rains slowing field work in some areas

The crops are looking really good. There is plenty of moisture, heat and humidity. We had a few bean replant issues. I replanted about 80 acres last week. We have that back in the ground now so we are pleased with that. Some of the field came up and some did not. We replanted at an angle to not tear up what was there. With the prices right, now we wanted to protect yield and get everything we can out of this crop.

Learning Inside and Outside the Classroom

Children are the most curious of beings, they love to investigate! And we revel in providing them with as many investigative opportunities as possible. At La Tierra Community School, we use an Expeditionary Learning inspired model, which translates into intentionally sharing the world (la tierra) with our students via hands-on learning both inside and outside the classroom. When we venture outside the classroom, which we do frequently, we engage in field work to guide the exploration. The excitement is palpable when we announce field work!

Tuesday Tips: Disc Golf Field Work [Making The Case for Practice – Pt. 1]

June 8, 2021 by Steve Andrews in Opinion with 0 comments. I love practice. While I sometimes practice at a course, I have also identified empty lots and fields all over town where I can have a quick throwing session and, more than once, my students have asked, “Did I see you standing out in that field next to Kroger?” Yes, that was definitely me.
