Along with Congressman Rogers was Johnson Co Judge Executive Mark McKenzie, Paintsville City Mayor Bill Mike Runyon and District Commander at US Army Corps of Engineers Eric Crispino. All where present for the ceremonial signing of the agreement for Federal Funding for the Paintsville/Johnson Co Flood Mitigation project. Congressman Rogers secured the funding in 2018, allowing the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to study and implement a flood mitigation project to protect the people of Johnson County. The project includes a proposed flood wall and relocation of homes and businesses in the flood plain.
