Never Store Your Leftovers in This Part of the Fridge, Experts Warn

Around the holidays, you're more likely than usual to end up with a refrigerator full of leftovers. But that food may go to waste as it lingers there forgotten. In fact, a 2020 study from Penn State University researchers found that the average American household wastes 31.9% of the food it buys, which comes out to more than $240 billion in food waste each year. And wasting food doesn't just waste money—it also increases your carbon footprint and methane production in landfills, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) warns. Luckily there are some incredibly easy ways to reduce how much food you waste, starting with how you store leftovers in your fridge. Read on to learn more.

Analysis: Joe Brady’s future with the Carolina Panthers should be questioned

The Panthers’ honeymoon phase with Cam Newton ended a while ago. Feel-good homecomings and reminders of their young roster won’t shake this harsh reality. Carolina entered Sunday in need of leadership, explosive plays and a victory, yet left Hard Rock Stadium in defeat behind an uninspiring offensive performance filled with costly turnovers, defensive mishaps and another quarterback benching.

Never Forget That General Motors Almost Used a Rotary Engine

Enthusiasts generally associate the Wankel rotary engine with Mazda and its eminent RX-7. However, General Motors had it too and had it in production cars as early as 1974 – at least on paper. Unfortunately, the Wankel had a tumultuous tenure under General Motors, and it ultimately didn’t enjoy the same success as it had in the Mazda RX-7. Forever lost to the sands of time, GM’s Wankel-titled chapter ended abruptly in retirement and disinterest. Here’s what happened and why the Wankel didn’t find favor with GM executives.

Car review: Powerful Subaru all the rage

If you already have a luxury sedan with its silky-smooth ride and posh interior and are craving raw power, this year’s Subaru WRX might be just the ticket for you. It’s aggressive off the line and beyond offering a firm ride, perhaps too stiff while it gives new meaning to loud. It’s a rough-rider for sure and the sedan’s six-speed manual transmission is the only choice to propel upper trim levels.

Would You Rather: BMW M4 Competition or Ford Mustang Mach-E GT?

Superficially, the 2022 BMW M4 Competition and the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT wouldn't seem to have a lot in common. One is a gas-powered German coupe that costs $95,345 (and starts at $75,695), and the other is an electric American crossover that goes for $69,800 (starting at $61,095). The EPA rates the BMW at 18 mpg combined and the Ford at 82 MPGe. Pop the hood on the BMW and you're confronted by a 503-hp 3.0-liter inline-six crowned by strut braces. Do the same with the Mach-E, and you find a capacious frunk capable of transporting lots of shrimp.

‘Cancer has decimated our community.’ EPA’s Regan vows to help hard-hit areas, but residents have doubts.

ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH, La. — As white smoke wafted from a massive oil and gas refinery that sits near his backyard, Michael Coleman reminisced about the sweet days of his childhood, before sugar cane fields that stretched for miles were sold and replaced by chemical companies that wiped out the “nice little community we had here.”

Tennessee Titans vs. New England Patriots: Matchups, prediction in AFC heavyweight bout

The Tennessee Titans vs. New England Patriots is the heavyweight battle we deserve. Unfortunately, it comes without Derrick Henry or Julio Jones, but in Week 12 of the NFL season, we must simply take what we can get. The Titans lost last week, but they rattled off six in a row before that, and the Patriots are winners of six of their last seven, as well. Something’s gotta give on Sunday afternoon in Foxborough.

Volvo's New Tesla Fighter Is Already Sold Out

If you're in the market for a new Volvo C40 Recharge and haven't finalized a deal, then you're out of luck, at least for 2021. The Chinese-owned Swedish luxury brand's first all-electric-only model is officially sold out for what's left of the current model year, according to Automotive News Europe.
