Paul Stevens from the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office. Students and staff were evacuated immediately. Bomb dogs from Ellsworth Air Force Base and the South Dakota Highway Patrol’s Office swept the school.

South Charlotte elementary school evacuated for pipe bomb threat, CMS says

CHARLOTTE — A south Charlotte elementary school was evacuated for a pipe bomb threat Friday afternoon, the district told Channel 9. All students and staff were evacuated from Pinewood Elementary School around 2:30 p.m. Friday for the threat, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said they have no evidence to believe the threat is a credible one.

Oklahoma City police give all clear after Fillmore Elementary threat

OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — UPDATE:. Oklahoma City police gave an all clear and students are being released to families. Regular dismissal took place at 3:10. The school released a statement, saying in part: "OKCPS takes all threats seriously and any statement that might threaten or imitate a threat to our students is prohibited and the student(s) involved will be disciplined according to our Student Code of Conduct."

Coffee cart helps Broken Arrow elementary students learn real-world skills

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — A student-run coffee cart is helping students at a Broken Arrow elementary school expand their social and academic skills in a fun way. Fourth and fifth graders at Timber Ridge Elementary School started running the cart about two weeks ago with the help of their teachers. Special needs teacher Traci Williams applied for a roughly $600 grant to cover the cost of supplies for the cart to offer coffee, tea and hot chocolates with toppings.
