Everyone loves Elden Ring’s cute pot boys

FromSoftware’s Elden Ring finally came out of hiding on Thursday, after two years of deafening silence about the new adventure from Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R.R. Martin. It looked spectacular, in a next-gen Dark Souls kind of way, with its gigantic lightning-chucking dragons, double-jumping horses, a spider made of fingers, a brand-new Tall Lady to obsess over, and, of course, those pots.

Elden Ring Fans Are Obsessed With A Pot Goblin

When I watched the new Elden Ring E3 trailer yesterday, my eyes immediately gravitated toward a single figure. He was mysterious and handsome, with features that seemed to be sculpted from clay. Or maybe porcelain? What I’m saying is, he was a pot. Apparently, I was not alone in this.

Will Elden Ring be at E3? How dare you. But I get it, I also want to know. I just can't be disappointed again. FromSoftware fans are having a tough go of it lately, and even though the Souls games are about hopeless worlds, we still want to believe Elden Ring is coming out someday. Since that first cinematic reveal 100 years ago in 2019, we've largely operated in the dark, except for some recently leaked footage from an old internal trailer that confirmed Elden Ring is Big Dark Souls. Even so, we didn't get a peep out of FromSoftware afterwards.

Elden Ring: Everything We Know Ahead Of E3 2021

Developer From Software sure is keeping details about Elden Ring close to the chest, but we do know a bit about the upcoming game, which we hope to see at E3 2021. When talking to GameSpot, Spencer said, "As somebody who's played all of Miyazaki's games over at least the last decade, [Elden Ring] is clearly the most ambitious game that he's done. I mean, I love his games, but seeing some of the gameplay mechanics stuff that he's tackling, he and the team are tackling this time, of the setting, working with another creator in terms of story. I love it."
