Herbert drags the Chargers against Las Vegas. Brady and Baltimore records

— At SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, which will host Super Bowl 2022, the Chargers flex their muscles. They go up 3-1 as a seasonal record, taking the lead of Afc West, tough Division. Right in front of the Raiders, who brought their home (in Oakland) to California in the recent past, an immaculate record, 3-0. Las Vegas was wiped out 21-0 in the first half, found the mental strength to get back into the game by scoring 2 tries in the 3rd quarter, taking possession to distance, but was unable to complete the comeback. The count of total yards, 380 to 213, and first downs, 25 to 13, describes the superiority of the Chargers. Herbert pitched for 3 touchdowns, making Parham, Cook and Ekeler happy in the end zones, two tight ends and a running back. The running game balanced the aerial one: 168 yards ground on the ground, 117 for Ekeler. The defense was not watching: 4 sacks, with Bosa scarecrow, and an interception, that of James who closed the game. The Raiders remain to be monitored: Waller, Renfrow and Ruggs form an intriguing target group for Carr. Jacobs has returned. Coach Gruden knows that this is the season in which we must finally proceed to cash, after having invested so much. Both in the Division will have to deal with the Chiefs, however. Uncomfortable customers for everyone.

Herbert, Ekeler a big challenge for Bengals’ defense

CINCINNATI -- Logan Wilson sees Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekler as just the kind of challenge that makes a coverage linebacker like himself valuable to the Cincinnati Bengals defense. The Bengals liked Wilson’s ability as a three-down linebacker with strengths in stopping the run and pass, and that...

Chargers host former Falcons RB Ito Smith

On Wednesday, the Chargers hosted former Falcons running back Ito Smith, per NFL insider Aaron Wilson. The visit comes just a few days after another lackluster performance on Sunday by any running back not named Austin Ekeler. The RB2 spot as been one of the bigger issues with the offense and this visit likely signifies that the coaching staff has seen enough of the four other running backs on the team spread out on the active roster and the practice squad.

Chargers Running back Austin Ekeler Gives Back To The Community

WATTS (CBSLA) — Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler helped students in Watts by donating washers and dryers. “It’s just offering this type of security — that they can feel comfortable in their own skin and their own body,” said Ekeler. “I was absolutely, 100% in on this project when I heard about it and glad that we’re able to get it done.

NFL DFS RB Coach: Week 13

Jonathan Taylor, IND – He is the best running back in football right now and he is taking on the Texans. He has scored at least 19 points in eight straight games and just had no issues with two of the top run defenses in the league. How much more do I need to say? He is very expensive, but if you can make the price work, you want to play him.

Los Angeles Chargers vs Cincinnati Bengals Predictions, Odds, Picks

Right now the 6-5 L.A. Chargers would be the seventh-seeded wildcard in the playoffs, good news for a team coming off a Week 12 loss to the Broncos in which they only gained 72 rushing yards and converted half their third and fourth downs, but they have QB Justin Herbert who is playing at a high level, his 8th ranked offense designed to give teams like these Bengals trouble.

Austin Ekeler - Week 13 Outlook for Fantasy Football

6 hours agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler has been one of the best at his position this season, but he will draw a tough matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 13. The Bengals run defense has been very efficient on the year, limiting opponents to just 74 yards per game on the ground. They have also allowed just two opposing teams to go for over 100 yards. The good news is that they have allowed eight rushing touchdowns. More good news for Ekeler is that they have struggled to defend running backs in the passing game and are giving up seven receptions for 55 yards to the position. Fantasy managers know that Ekeler's bread and butter is in the passing game, and despite the fact that he may struggle to find much room on the ground, the veteran should be able to make up for it in the passing game. Entering Week 13 and beyond, Ekeler remains an RB1 in all formats, but with the playoffs slowly approaching, fantasy managers would be wise to consider insuring him with rookie running back Larry Rountree III or Justin Jackson just to be safe.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller.
