New behind-the-scenes ‘Starfield’ video lands; Microsoft shows ‘Halo Infinite,’ Game Pass titles

The virtual version of the Electronic Entertainment Exhibition, better known as E3, is underway, with some of the world’s largest video game and console creators set to unveil new game tiles and other updates. This is the first E3 since 2019 after the coronavirus pandemic canceled last year’s conference, usually held at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

What we expect to see at E3 2021

The virtual version of the Electronic Entertainment Exhibition, better known as E3, goes live Saturday, with some of the world’s largest video game companies set to unveil new products and updates to existing games. It will be the first E3 since 2019. The covid-19 pandemic led to the cancellation of last year’s conference, usually held at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Ubisoft Unveils ‘Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora’ First Look Trailer at E3

During the all-virtual E3 on Saturday, Ubisoft debuted a first look at Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, a first-person action-adventure game. The game is described by the French video game company as a standalone story in the familiar Avatar universe in which users “play as a Na’vi and embark on a journey across the Western Frontier, a never-before-seen part of Pandora. Explore a living and reactive world inhabited by unique creatures and new characters, and push back the formidable RDA forces that threaten it.”

How To Watch E3 Announcements Live

The biggest event in gaming news — E3 2021 — is finally here. E3 is an annual expo for video game distributors to hock their wares and hype the biggest titles coming to their platforms. The last E3 was all the way back in 2019. Xbox hyped the likes of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Animal Crossing: New Horizons found itself pushed back (thankfully) to 2020, and Nintendo revealed they were working on a sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Oh, like, tech stuff happened, too.

E3 2021 Conference: Schedule, Dates, Games, and News

The biggest week on the gaming calendar is back! E3 has returned after last year’s trade show was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Things are a little different for E3 2021, which won’t have a show floor at the Los Angeles Convention Center like in past years. Instead, the convention will take place completely online as an all-virtual event featuring a whole list of live streams hosted by the industry’s biggest publishers and studios, including Microsoft, Bethesda, Nintendo, Capcom, Bandai Namco, Ubisoft, and Take-Two Interactive. (Sony PlayStation is once again skipping this year’s event.)
